If you are planning to trek in Nepal, I recommend local Guide, whom I met in 2009 on Mont Blanc. You can meet while smiling face Mr. Tanka Khakural, who is always willing to help, please contact him for Trekking.
I have been fortunate enough to travel twice to Nepal partly accompanied by Tanka as a guide and friend. Tanka is a professional, experienced guide, very attentive to requests of its customers. My first trip to Nepal, including a trek in Langtang, was just as memorable by the fantastic scenery as the warm Nepalese. Nepal is an extraordinary country, high contrast and its people is very endearing.
I spent unforgettable moments in Nepal thanks to Tanka Khakural. He organized 4 treks for me. Thank you, my friend, for always being there. For 18 years Tanka has been hiking the Himalayan trails. He did it first as a porter, then became a guide. The whole experience of the mountains! In addition, he speaks French very well. He has just opened his agency. Bravo!
I’ve been lucky enough to meet Tanka during the last days of my trip in the Annapurnas. As I was trekking on my own, I met him and his customers the day before the ascent of Thorong La pass and I sticked to his group. Without Tanka and his great organizational and reactive skills I would have been stuck in High Camp for a few days due to a regional block out following India’s PM visit. Tanka was kind enough to warn me about it and offered to help me getting in a bus in order to get out asap. Although I’ve spent only two days with him, I had many chances to realize not only how good a guide he is, but also what a beautiful and easygoing person he is. I would definitely recommend him, including to myself on my next trip to Nepal!
We did the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley trek with the guide Tanka. The itinerary was very good and with some days with only 3h walking. So we had a chance to enjoy the scenery and the perfect weather. The guide spoke English slowly but could answer every question we asked him. He was really experienced and knew what he did. The contact with the agency was very easy and everything was well organized. We got a very warm welcome. We really recommend this agency and this guide to do such a trek.
