Manaslu Circuit Trekking is an entirely enthralling trek through the marvelous and audacious trail of the Manaslu region. The trek proffers the enchanting snowy peaks, splendid green hill landscape and the cultural aura of the Tibetan Buddhist communities. The Larke La Pass (5160 meters) is the highest point of this trek, which is an amazing viewpoint, located at the base point of Mt. Manaslu (8163 meters).

Manaslu circuit trek is equally popular as the Round Manaslu Trek that begins from the Budi Gandaki River valley and connects the Marshyangdi River valley at the ending point. The restricted region of Manaslu Conservation Area is the base of this trek that requires a restricted area trekking permit. Manaslu region is the pocket zone of the snow leopard. The striking green hills, oak and rhododendron forest, grassy lands and the enticing surroundings frequently appear on the downhill part. The alpine region of the Manaslu is prevailed with the meadows and the marvelous white peaks, including Mt. Manaslu comes at your closer distance. The Tibetan Buddhist culture has made a deep impression on the locality along with the ancient heritages. Colorful monasteries, chhortens and mani walls are the lively scenery of the cultural richness. The Larke Pass is a challenging section of the trek that requires physical fitness and acclimatization. Crossing the pass, you connect with the Annapurna trail and head through the Marshyangdi River valley, which is another world famous trail in Nepal.

Itinerary

Representative of Reliance Trekking will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be transferred to hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at Hotel.(Breakfast included)

In the morning, we set up a pre-trip meeting with an introduction of the trekking guide. Managing the document to prepare the paperwork for the trekking, then we visit the UNESCO listed world heritage sites of the Kathmandu valley, including Boudhnath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, the Pashupatinath temple that is situated beside the Bagmati River. Driving back to the hotel, you prepare the trek with packing your belongings. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast included)

After the breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Kathmandu to Arughat and continue to Soti Khola. On the way, we pass Dhadingbesi, which is the district center of the Dhading district. The overall trip is about 9 hours. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

The first day trek from Soti Khola begins after the breakfast at the lodge and it gradually goes through the Saal forest and head along the bank of the Budi Gandaki River. The descending and ascending route towards the Budi Gandaki River and the forest randomly goes till we reach to Machha Khola. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

Having breakfast at Machha Khola, we cross the stream and Khorlabesi to reach Tatopani. It is amazing to have a natural hot spring and we cross the Dovan Khola. We encounter with the sandy beach and the stunning riverside till we walk and rest in Jagat. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

Walking through the undulating trail from Jagat, we reach to Sridibas all the way through the stone paved route. The Sringi Himal offers its best smile to welcome us. Then we trek down to the River, cross the bridge over it and head towards Philim with a steep ascent. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

Right at the beginning, we get the exclusive view of the waterfall. Heading further, we reach to the impressive valley via Eklai Bhatti. Then we cross the River over the bridge, pass Euwa And walk all the way to Deng. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

Beginning the trek through the steep uphill route, the spectacular views stun us and we cross the River. During the trek, we pass some of the beautiful valleys and there lies Mani walls, which is significant in Buddhism. Reaching Namrung, we get a lot of attractions of the Tibetan Buddhism. Stroll around the village and rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

We get spectacular Himalayan views from Namrung, as it is the best viewpoint of the Sringi Himalchuli and Ganesh Himal. After the breakfast, we climb up through the terraced hillside and reach to Lihi. We pass through the chhortens and the villages like Sho and Lho. We get the superb sight of Mt. Manaslu and explore the Ribung Monastery. We are getting high altitude and reach to Sama Gaon for the rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

As aforementioned, we are gaining the altitude, so we spend an extra day to practice acclimatization with a stroll around the village and getting cultural affluence. As an optional itinerary, we hike towards the Manaslu base camp, which is about 7 hours trip gradually. Hike to the Birendra Lake is another option. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

The gradual walk heads uphill after the breakfast. Exploring the fantastic views of the Himalayas, especially Manaslu leads us to reach Samdo, which is a Tibetan refugee village. Then we walk through the meadows, which is located close to the Tibetan border. We reach Samdo and take a rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

After having breakfast at Samdo, we cross over the stream and reach the Larke Bazaar, which is the last market place in this altitude. It was a market thrived by the Tibetan trade for several years. A short walk to Dharmashala warms up for the huge climb tomorrow. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

From Dharmashala, we begin to climb upwards the Larke La, through the snowy trail. The spectacular snowy peaks of Mt. Manaslu (8163 meters), Himlung Himal (7126meter), Cheo Himal (6820meters), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6981meters) and the Annapurna II (7937meters) can be explored during the trekking. After a wonderful session at the top, we descend through another side of the pass, descending to Bhimphedi. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

We start to make a gentle climb through paddy fields, walking further passing the Karcha La Pass. Then we walk through the rhododendron forest all the way walking down to Tilije. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

Having breakfast at Tilije, we begin to trek over a small ridge and enjoy walking through the stone paved trail, which passes a village. Crossing the stream, we encounter Mani wall and reach to Thonje village. After a while, we reach to the Annapurna region check point and officially walk through the Annapurna round trail. Heading through Karte village, we reach to Tal and gradually reach to Chamje. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).

After the breakfast at Chamje, we drive to Kathmandu. It takes about 8-9 hours drive through the Marshyangdi and Trishuli River valley. Arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel. (breakfast lunch Included)

On this day, our representative drops you at the airport for the final departure. Thank you very much for trekking with us. See you again.

Trekking equipment

The Following information will give you some idea about what you need to bring for the trek as the backpack for the hiking in Nepal and the gear play a vital role for the successful trip and we suggest you to have all the necessary gear for the trip and not to have unnecessary equipment/things that you will not be using for the trip and list of the gear you need for the trek are:

  1. Good down Sleeping bag (Optional/You need to bring your own but if you do not have on your own and it is to be chargeable during the trek.
  2. Duffel or Rucksack bag to keep your all the gear and this will be carried by the porters.
  3. Daypack bag for yourself
  4. A down Jacket
  5. Shade hat
  6. Warm wool hat to cover your ears
  7. A pair of lightweight warm gloves.
  8. T-shirts 2- 3 pieces
  9. Lightweight thermal tops.
  10. Fleece jacket.
  11. Fleece Wind-proved jacket (optional).
  12. A pair’s nylon hiking shorts which are quick drying one
  13. Underwear
  14. Two pairs of lightweight long underwear.
  15. Two pairs trekking pants, preferably that zip on/off at the knees so they double as shorts
  16. Four pairs of liner warm socks
  17. A pair of light to medium weight waterproof hiking/trekking boots.

Medicines and First Aid Kits

  1. Extra Strength Excedrin for altitude-related headaches like DMX.
  2. Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
  3. Imodium or Peptone besom, Flexon capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea.
  4. Diamox 125 or 250mg or 400mg tablets for altitude sickness.
  5. 1 small personal sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as moleskin, band-aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc. Reliance Trekking company’s team also provide first aid kits)

Miscellaneous but Important

  1. Passport and extra passport photos (4 copies)
  2. Durable wallet/pouch for travel documents, money & passport.
  3. Lip care (Balm) At least SPF 20, 2 sticks.
  4. Sun’s cream with SPF 40 is recommended
  5. Pocket knife.
  6. Water purification Iodine tablets
  7. Toiletry kits and be sure to include toilet paper stored in a plastic bag, hand wipes, and liquid hand sanitizer, towel, soap, etc.

Note Regarding Itineraries
Although we generally adhere to the schedule, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control, including weather and terrain conditions, suitable campsite availability, and the group’s general fitness level.
