Kanchenjunga Trekking is audacious trekking in eastern Nepal, located in the border region of India. Kanchenjunga (8586 meters) is the delighting attraction of the trek, which is the 3rd tallest peak in the world.

Trek to Kanchenjunga base camp begins from Suketar and it escorts you through the brilliant green hill territory and the surprising variety of landscape. The wilder you enter, the wonderful views welcome you with the pure countryside fascinations. Kanchanjunga  Peak amusingly accompanies your trip along the lines of “Five Treasures of the Snow” which is the literal meaning of Kanchenjunga and is regarded as the queen of the snowy peaks. It is a long trip being secluded from the modern world enjoying the adventurous trail around. The indigenous communities that are located almost half of the way are rich in their undisturbed culture and lifestyles. The north base camp of Kanchenjunga is outstanding and the hike around there goes above 5000 meters altitude. Itinerary

Our representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and will be transffered to hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at Hotel.(Breakfast included)

In the morning, after breakfast, At around 8am, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your trek leader/guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trek. We will also supply you with our trek . For the meeting, please make sure you bring passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer. Please inform us in advance if you will be arriving late and therefore are unable to attend the pre-trip meeting. After the Pre-Trip meeting and breakfast, your sightseeing trip will start in the morning.visit, Boudhnath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa. After Boudhnath Stupa,Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats. Overnight Hotel. (Breakfast included)

Flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. Depending upon the availability of flying options to Suketar from Biratnagar.There are two possibilities
*If there is availability of flight to Suketar spend the night in Biratnagar and fly to Suketar next morning.
*If there are no flights available to Suketar drive to Phidim and spend the night in Biratnagar next morning.

the previous day you will directly fly to Suketar this day and spend the night there
*If takes flight from Biratnagar to Suketar O/N at Suketar on Lodge.
*If takes Bus from Biratnagar to Phidim O/N at Phidim than next morning drive to Suketar O/N at Lodge.

Trek from Suketar with a downhill walk to Mitlung. The trails throughout the lower sections of the Kanchenjunga region pass through fertile valleys with beautiful pastures and small villages. then cross Hangdewa River and walk alongside the raging Tamor River. As gradually head in a northerly direction the trail steepens after a few hours before a final descent of 350 meters on a muddy trail to Mitlung.It takes 5 hours,O/N at Mitlung on Camp.

The trail ascends and descends steadily as we make our way towards the village of Sinwa. Walk continue trekking downhill until we reach Tawa. At Tawa, ascend to some heights and cross the suspension bridge at Thiwa. Passes beautiful rural landscape along the way and reach Chirwa, a beautiful Limbu village .It takes 6 hours O/N at Chirwa on Camp.

The trek from Chirwa to Sukathum passes through varied landscapes such as cardamom fields and dense forests.trek uphill for sometime then descend to the lush green fields below and continue trekking along the Tamor River passing through a dense forest. It’s both uphill and downhill trek until crossing the Ghunsa River after reach Sukathum . It takes 6 hours, O/N at Sukathum on Camp.

Trek from Sukathum to Amjilosa is challenging. After crossing the suspension bridge outside Sukathum entering a dense forest, ascend the steep trail, descend and cross the river again. climb a gorge from the bottom and pass by Solima village and descend again to the level of the river. All in all, this day’s trekking is rather tough. Therefore, it is advisable to be very careful especially while walking the trail that passes the gorge. follows a tricky trail which goes both uphill and downhill until reaching Amjilosa. It takes 6 hours O/N at Amjilosa on Camp.

Trek start from Amjilosa the river bank, pass through a densely forest of bamboo, fir and rhododendrons eventually reaching a small stone house by the river. then climb uphill crossing a few small bridges along the way. Here,get to enjoy the company of stunning waterfalls that originate from the mountains. After yet another short uphill walk reach the Tibetan settlement to Gyabla It takes 6 hours O/N at Gyabla on Camp.

Trek descend down the river and notice the valley as it slowly opens up before reaching Phale, a Tibetan refugee settlement where it is possible to purchase handicrafts and homemade rugs from locals. After purchasing a few souvenirs, travel through conifer and pine forest and reach the Sherpa village of Ghunsa where spend the night. This place is known for its hydroelectricity plant and the fact that more than 20 prominent conservationists met a tragic end in a helicopter crash. It takes 6 hours O/N at Ghunsa on Camp.

Take care to spend time acclimatizing around Ghunsa before continuing our next day’s trek. We recommend you to stay active even in a rest day as it is better than being idle while on a trekking journey.takes a short hike towards the Laspsan La monastery through the lush green forest. Come back to Ghunsa by afternoon and relax. It takes 6 hours O/N at Ghunsa on Camp.

Trek from Ghunsa Kambachen north along the river bank which presents with magnificent mountain scenery.passing through meadows full with beautiful wildflowers, rhododendron and pine forests. Ascent cross a bridge at Rampuk Kharka, continue pass the waterfall and cross the tricky section of the landslide. to see the spectacular view of Mt. Jannu. Further exploring and tackling the tricky mountain trails and arrive at Kambachen . It takes 6 hours O/N at Kambachen on Camp.

Day for acclimatization at Kambachen which is reserved to accommodate participants in high altitude and also to observe if anybody in the group has any symptoms of altitude sickness. The overall idea for this day is to relax- take a bath and/or explore the Nuphchu Khola Valley area.O/N at Kambachen on Camp.

Trek from Kambachen to lhonak another challenging day and an early start is needed. We trek through rocky fields and large boulders on the hillside along the riverbank and arrive at a waterfall. We then cross a bridge to Ramtang monastery. across a landslide section which we must pass through at a steady pace before descending to the river and finally arriving at Lhonak. It takes 7 hours O/N at Lhonak on Camp.

Trek along the Kanchenjunga Glacier to spend a night at Pangpema, Kanchenjunga base camp on the north side. It will be careful around the rockier sections as they are prone to landslides. After a short while you reach Pangpema, a flat grassy base camp. Climb a little higher and enjoy the splendor of Jannu, Kanchenjunga and Chang Himal. It takes 7 hours O/N at Kanchenjunga North base camp on Camp.

Trek return path to Lhonak and continue down the valley to Ramtang Monastery. The return journey offers a different perspective of the mountains Kanchenjunga, Taple Shikhar, Gimmigela, and Mera Peak among others. Due to the descending nature of this trek reach Kambachen in evening It takes 7 hours O/N at Kambachen on Camp.

It’s essentially the reverse of Kambachen, descend to Ghunsa from Kambachen which means that we get to enjoy the beautiful forests along with a backdrop of impressive mountain scenery. It takes 5 hours O/N at Ghunsa on Camp.

It’s a steep trek upward from Ghunsa to Sele-Le. Upon reaching Sele Le we climb through a dense forest of moss, rhododendron and juniper. Lunch will be served in an appropriate place with the availability of water It takes 7 hours O/N at Sele Le on Camp.

Trek from sele le an uphill trek and enjoy the mesmerizing south side view of Jannu Himal and Makalu (the world’s 6th highest mountain). Today is a strenuous trekking day and cross several passes- Sinion La, Mirgin La and Sinelapche Bhanjyang.then make a steep descend to Cheram. It takes 7 hours O/N at Cheram on Camp.

Day of free Trek from Cheram to Ramche (4,580 m) and return back to Cheram, the Yalung Glacier and walk alongside the Simbuwa Khola, pass through Lapsang village and reach Ramche. While there,walking further up the valley or ascend a ridge for a tremendous view of blue sheeps.then follow the stream before climbing on the moraine top until confronted by Kanchenjunga’s southern face. further ahead for a glimpse of the Jannu Himal, even consider continuing to Oktang Monastery and Descend, O/N at Cheram on Camp.

Trek from descend to Tortong first encounter two trails. One trail is took while descending down from Sele Le.however ignore this route and descend further down to the trail alongside the Simbuwa Khola. Enjoying the lush rhododendron forest along the way arrive on Tortong. It takes 6 hours O/N at Tortong on Camp.

While descending from Tortong to Yamphudin we pass through Lasiya Bhanjyang which involves walking up through trees and area of landslides. The terrain changes after every monsoon but by the middle of October it should be stable with a route through. Walking further down reach the village of Yamphudin, a village inhabited by Sherpas, Limbus and Rais. It takes 7 hours O/N at Yamphudin on Camp.

Trek from yamphudin to yangpang descend cross the bridge at Samekham and continue following the Kabeli Khola. Passes through Mamankhe which houses the Limbu Museum and Cultural Center. We then cross the bridge over Khaksewa Khola and ascend through the cardamom forest, pass by a few villages and descend further down to Yangpang It takes 7 hours O/N at Yang pang on Camp.

Instead of going back to Taplejung descend down to Thorpu. By opting for Thorpu be saving us time but will also get to enjoy the landscape of a different route. While descending to Thorpu we pass through some really beautiful terraced villages, where the people are very interested place in Thorpu It takes 6 hours O/N at Thorpu on Camp.

Drive from Thorpu to Birtamod which is a lively Terai town in Eastern Nepal. Along the way you will notice the climate getting warmer with a landscape that is different from the mountains and the hills. The town boasts a number of good accommodation, It takes 6 hours O/N at Birtamod on Lodge.

The drive to Bhadrapur from Birtamod is only of short distance. fly back to Kathmandu from Bhadrapur Airport. Pick up from Airport to hotel .O/N at Hotel on Kathmandu.

Free day for shopping and departure After breakfast in to your hotel, we will drop you at the airport to take your onward flight as per time. If you have late flight, you will have time to do last minute shopping if you deserve. (Breakfast included)
