Tsum Valley Trekking is a journey through the mystical land of the north-west Nepal. The valley with hidden gems of cultural and natural wonders is what signifies the world Tsombo, the literal meaning of Tsum valley. It is located in the neighboring parts of the Manaslu region. The prehistoric Tibetan Buddhism and the vibrant culture offer a unique and outstanding experience around this untouched trail.
Tsum Valley trekking route was opened in 2008 for the trekkers. It begins from Soti Khola and the beginning trail goes through the Lower Manaslu trail that splits towards the Tsum valley. The ethnic communities and cultural heritages have made the trek diverse. The Budi Gandaki River valley is the base for the trekking in the beginning. The exclusive views of the Himalayas include Mt. Manaslu, Boudha Himal and Ganesh Himal. Tsum valley trail is relatively adventurous that the trail includes some steep rocky boulder. The pointed rocks and isolated trail lead you to the dramatic valley, which looks like a Tibetan terrain. The Tibetan Buddhist culture and lifestyles make a deep influence in the everyday lifestyles. Some of the ancient monasteries and chhortens reveal the cultural richness of this area. Mu Gompa is one of the brilliant examples for this. It is a land for the spatial delightment and meditation.

Itinerary
Representative of Reliance Trekking will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be transferred to hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at Hotel. (Breakfast included)
In the morning, we set up a pre-trip meeting with an introduction of the trekking guide. Managing the document to prepare the paperwork for the trekking, then we visit the UNESCO listed world heritage sites of the Kathmandu valley, including Boudhnath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, the Pashupatinath temple that is situated beside the Bagmati River. Driving back to the hotel, you prepare the trek with packing your belongings. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast included)
After the breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Kathmandu to Arughat and continue to Soti Khola. On the way, we pass Dhadingbesi, which is the district center of the Dhading district. The overall trip is about 9 hours. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
The first day trek from Soti Khola begins after the breakfast at the lodge and it gradually goes through the Saal forest and head along the bank of the Budi Gandaki River. The descending and ascending route towards the Budi Gandaki River and the forest randomly goes till we reach to Machha Khola. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Having breakfast at Machha Khola, we cross the stream and Khorlabesi to reach Tatopani. It is amazing to have a natural hot spring and we cross the Dovan Khola. We encounter with the sandy beach and the stunning riverside till we walk and rest in Jagat. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Walking through the undulating trail from Jagat, we reach to Sridibas all the way through the stone paved route. The Sringi Himal offers its best smile to welcome us. Then we trek down to the River, cross the bridge over it and head towards Philim with a steep ascent. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Beginnig to walk from Philim after having breakfast, we walk through the forest and cross Eklai Bhatti. Crossing the gore, other lush woods of pine come along the route. Gradually, we trek down to the Tsum valley. The rhododendron and pine forest makes the trek outstanding. The Himal Chuli peak dazzle from the way and we reach to Ripchet. Crossing the Siar Khola, reach to Chumling and rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
After the breakfast, we cross the suspension bridge and walk through another bank of the River. Mt. Ganesh smiles at you once you smile at it. Crossing the Serpu stream, we officially head through the Tsum valley and take a rest at Chokangparo. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Beginning the trek above Chokangparo, we walk in a gradual way to deal the high altitude. We cross the Rachen Gompa and the Lama Gaon. Visiting the Milarepa cave, we cross the Siar Khola, pass Phurbe and Chule to reach Nile and take a rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Heading from Nile after the breakfast, we are heading closer to the border region of Tibet. Mu Gompa is located there, which is the spiritual center in this region that Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated around this region. So, this region is regarded highly sacred. The views of Ganesh Himal and the Tibetan peaks look dramatic. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Bhajyo is a wonderful place to explore around with the excellent views. After the breakfast, walk around to enjoy the view of the Ngula Dhojyang Pass and the Yamdro valley glacier if weather permitting. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
From Bhajyo, we trek down to the Rachen Gompa, which is located in the Siar Khola valley. The monastery was built in the early 20th century, which is the biggest among the monasteries in this valley that has got this type of painting and structure. Overnight at lodge. Continue south until a bridge crosses to the west bank then descend again to Chhokangparo. Drop below Chhokangparo on the previous trail for about 2hrs, until a small gompa is reached at Gho (2485m). Then taking the northern route in the lower Tsum Valley, we finally arrive at Chumje via Yaju. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
From Chumje, we continue on the northern route through the dramatic landscape in the lower Tsum Valley. Heading through the meadow and passing some houses, we cross the suspension bridge towards the direction of the Manaslu Budhi Gandaki River. Walking further to the Bihi village, take a rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Having breakfast at Bihi, we begin the trek through the fine and easy trail. Gradually, it leads us through the lush forest that steadily leads us to Namrung with the exciting views of Mt. Manaslu and the surrounding peaks. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
We get spectacular Himalayan views from Namrung, as it is the best viewpoint of the Sringi Himalchuli and Ganesh Himal. After the breakfast, we climb up through the terraced hillside and reach to Lihi. We pass through the chhortens and the villages like Sho and Lho. We get the superb sight of Mt. Manaslu and explore the Ribung Monastery. We are getting high altitude and reach to Sama Gaon for the rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
As aforementioned, we are gaining the altitude, so we spend an extra day to practice acclimatization with a stroll around the village and getting cultural affluence. As an optional itinerary, we hike towards the Manaslu base camp, which is about 7 hours trip gradually. Hike to the Birendra Lake is another option. Overnight at lodge. The gradual walk heads uphill after the breakfast. Exploring the fantastic views of the Himalayas, especially Manaslu leads us to reach Samdo, which is a Tibetan refugee village. Then we walk through the meadows, which is located close to the Tibetan border. We reach Samdo and take a rest. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
After having breakfast at Samdo, we cross over the stream and reach the Larke Bazaar, which is the last market place in this altitude. It was a market thrived by the Tibetan trade for several years. A short walk to Dharmashala warms up for the huge climb tomorrow. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
From Dharmashala, we begin to climb upwards the Larke La, through the snowy trail. The spectacular snowy peaks of Mt. Manaslu (8163 meters), Himlung Himal (7126meter), Cheo Himal (6820meters), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6981meters) and the Annapurna II (7937meters) can be explored during the trekking. After a wonderful session at the top, we descend through another side of the pass, descending to Bhimphedi. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
We start to make a gentle climb through paddy fields, walking further passing the Karcha La Pass. Then we walk through the rhododendron forest all the way walking down to Tilije. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Having breakfast at Tilije, we begin to trek over a small ridge and enjoy walking through the stone paved trail, which passes a village. Crossing the stream, we encounter Mani wall and reach to Thonje village. After a while, we reach to the Annapurna region check point and officially walk through the Annapurna round trail. Heading through Karte village, we reach to Tal and gradually reach to Chamje. Overnight at lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
After the breakfast at Chamje, we drive to Kathmandu. It takes about 8-9 hours drive through the Marshyangdi and Trishuli River valley. Arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel. (breakfast lunch Included)
