Kathmandu Valley Trek begins from Sundarijal, which is a watershed area in the Shivapuri National Park. The 4 nights 5 days hike leads you through the charming trail and it is amazingly isolated once you reach the ridge. Chisapani is an impressive village, populated by the Tamang people. Nagarkot is renowned as a tourist hillside, which is a fascinating viewpoint of the wonderful snow capped Himalayas as Dorje Lhakpa, Langtang Lirung, Annapurna, Manaslu and other various snow covered peaks. The golden summits of the Himalayas after the sunrays over the peaks look magnificently mind blowing. The trek leads you to the ancient Dhulikhel city and the trek goes along the hillside of Namobuddha and to the beautiful Balthali village. While coming back to Kathmandu, you can visit the Panauti Temple, that are located at the bank of the stream.

Day 1 :

Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters).

Representative of Reliance Trekking will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and you will be transferred to hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at Hotel. (Breakfast included)

Day 2 :

Drive to Sundarijal, trek to Chisapani.

After the breakfast at the hotel, drive to Sundarijal, which is about an hour drive. Enjoying the wonderful waterfalls, hike through the picturesque hillside and eventually enter into the Shivapuri National Park, all the way to Chisapani, a beautiful Tamang village. Overnight at lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3 :

Trek to Nagarkot.

Having breakfast, we begin to walk through the hilly territory. It’s pretty much long walk and enjoying the mind blowing views of the Langtang range, Dorje Lhakpa and Ganesh Himal, we reach to Nagarkot, which is an excellent viewpoint of the Himalayas. Overnight at hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4 :

Trek to Dhulikhel.

Enjoy the sunrise view over the dramatic peaks of the Himalayas. After having breakfast at Nagarkot, we begin to trek down through the terraced hillside to Dhulikhel via Nala of Kavre. Dhulikhel is an ancient city with medieval arts and architectures that are projected on the temples. Overnight at hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 5 :

Trek to Balthali.

Beginning the trek from Dhulikhel, we climb to the Namobuddha hillside. The monastery is one of the famous in Nepal. Then we hike to the Balthali village, crossing the Roshi Khola over the suspension bridge. Balthali village is populated by the ethnic Tamang groups. Overnight at hotel/lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 6 :

Trek to Panauti, drive back to Kathmandu.

Exploring the beautiful Balthali, we trek down gradually through the downhill trail and through the flat trail to the historic town of Panauti, located beautifully at the bank of the stream. Then we take a drive to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7 :

Departure day your Destination.

On this day, our representative drops you at the airport for the final departure. Thank you very much for trekking with us. See you again.

Trekking equipment

The Following information will give you some idea about what you need to bring for the trek as the backpack for the hiking in Nepal and the gear play a vital role for the successful trip and we suggest you to have all the necessary gear for the trip and not to have unnecessary equipment/things that you will not be using for the trip and list of the gear you need for the trek are:

Good down Sleeping bag (Optional/You need to bring your own but if you do not have on your own and it is to be chargeable during the trek.
Duffel or Rucksack bag to keep your all the gear and this will be carried by the porters.
Daypack bag for yourself
A down Jacket
Shade hat
Warm wool hat to cover your ears
A pair of lightweight warm gloves.
T-shirts 2- 3 pieces
Lightweight thermal tops.
Fleece jacket.
Fleece Wind-proved jacket (optional).
A pair’s nylon hiking shorts which are quick drying one
Underwear
Two pairs of lightweight long underwear.
Two pairs trekking pants, preferably that zip on/off at the knees so they double as shorts
Four pairs of liner warm socks
A pair of light to medium weight waterproof hiking/trekking boots.
A pair of light trekking shoes for camp/lodges
A pair sandal (Optional)
A water bottle.
Head/Torch Light.

Medicines and First Aid Kits

Extra Strength Excedrin for altitude-related headaches like DMX.
Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
Imodium or Peptone besom, Flexon capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea.
Diamox 125 or 250mg or 400mg tablets for altitude sickness.
1 small personal sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as moleskin, band-aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc. Reliance Trekking company’s team also provide first aid kits)

Passport and extra passport photos (4 copies)
Durable wallet/pouch for travel documents, money & passport.
Lip care (Balm) At least SPF 20, 2 sticks.
