Mardi Himal trek visits a far area in Annapurna region of Nepal where you will see few other trekkers and meet friendly locals along the way. A number of new basic lodges have been built along Mardi Himal ridge therefore it is now possible to do this as a lodge based trek rather than having to bring in a camping crew.
Mardi Himal trek contains all of the elements of a classic Reliance trekking including villages, wildlife, panoramic mountain views and range of landscape from forest to high alpine. The mountain views from Mardi Himal are superb including Annapurna South, Mount Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) and Mount Hiunchuli.
Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
Our representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be transffered to hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at Hotel.(Breakfast included)
Day 02- Pre-trip Meeting and Kathmandu city sightseeing Tour.
In the morning, after breakfast, At around 8am, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your trek leader/guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trek. We will also supply you with our trek . For the meeting, please make sure you bring passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer. Please inform us in advance if you will be arriving late and therefore are unable to attend the pre-trip meeting. After the Pre-Trip meeting and breakfast, your sightseeing trip will start in the morning. We visit, Boudhnath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where we observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa. After Boudhnath Stupa we visit Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here we see Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditating, pilgrims bathing and occasionally funeral pyres burning on the ghats. Overnight Hotel. (Breakfast included)
Day 03:Departure from Kathmandu to Pokhara By Tourist bus
Early morning, after breakfast, board a bus and drive to Pokhara. It's a drive of about 6 hours through lush green forest, meandering road through the hills and gracefully flowing riverside’s. You will also come across lively markets and clusters of villages on the way. Lunch will be taken in one of the road side restaurants. Upon reaching in Pokhara,O/N at Hotel. (Breakfast included)
Day 04. Drive from Pokhara to Kande, Trek to Pitam Deaurali(2100m) VIA Australian Camp
Drive to Kande (Approx 1 hour drive) and trek to Pitam Deaurali via Australian Camp -trek approx one hour climb to Australian Camp that takes through a landscape of terraced fields and forests and affords some stunning views out across the central Himalayas and approaching Pothana first. The trail is enjoyable throughout the villages,some views of villages in the horizon. Continuing further will take to Pitam Deurali, taste the first mountain meal in Deurai .It Takes 7 hours,O/N at lodge on Pitam Deurali.(Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner Included) .
Day 05:Trek from Pitam Deurali to Low Camp (3050m)
Trek from Deurai to Forest camp. The trail is mostly inside the green forests of oak, maple, hemlock and rhododendron. The section includes some ups and downs to reach Forest Camp, a small village with few guest houses. Forest camp is known as Kokar among local people. It is a difficult walk from Pitam Deurali to Forest camp. The trail is steep at the beginning however changes to gradual climbing after awhile. We will have some random views of snowy Himalayan peaks. The views of Machhapuchhre peak is superb from Low Camp.It takes 7 hours .O/N at Guest House on Low camp .(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included)
Day 06:Trek from Low camp to High Camp(3590m)
Trek from Low Camp to High Camp with stunning views of close Himalayas in front of us. As we climb higher the route also becomes open and spacious as there is no forest anymore. The trail continues through grasslands of high region with occasional rhododendron trees. Spotting the beautiful bird called Himalayan Monal; also known as the impeyan monal, impeyan pheasant and danphe in Nepali is easy around here. This is a colorful Himalayan bird represented as the national bird of Nepal.It Takes 6 hours,O/N at Guest House on High Camp. (Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner Included)
Day 07: Trek from High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) & Return Back High Camp
Early in the morning before the sun rises. The plan is to watch sunrise over the Himalayas.Hiking up to the upper view point for magnificent views of close Himalayan peaks from Mardi himal base camp. The trail heading to Upper View Point is well marked through the grassland involves few steep sections. In overall this is moderate walk, not too easy and not too challenging as well. In summer season this area is full of yaks and sheep along with several yak herder's huts. There are some narrow and steep trails and Return back in High Camp. It Takes 7 hours,O/N at Guest House on High Camp. (Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner Included)
Day 08. Trek from High Camp to Landruk(1640m)
Trek from High Camp ,separate route to Landruk village. This is huge village that is on the way to Annapurna Base Camp a junction that separates between the trail heading to Low Camp on the left and Landruk on the right . Descending further will again bring back inside the forest where the trail is so peaceful and quiet. Turning one and another circles we will then reach Landruk village. It Takes 8 hours,O/N at Guest House on Landruk (Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner Included).
Day 09: Trek from Landruk to Pokhara VIA Nayapul(1070m)
Trek starts descend down to Modi River before start walking on the next side. The trail is pretty flat all the way to Nayapul with small and short gradual ups and downs and walking on the right of Modi Khola until reach Birenthanti, where Modi Khola meets Bhurundi Khola coming from another side. cross the river once again making the Modi Khola,from Birenthanti and reach Nayapul from where drive to Pokhara, visit phewa lake.It Takes 7 hours,O/N at Hotel on Pokhara (Breakfast Included)
Day 10: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu By Tourist Bus
It takes about 7 hours to drive back to Kathmandu crossing over some mountain passes and rivers along.arrive on Kathmandu O/N at Hotel,(Breakfast Included)
Day 11: Departure day your Destination
Free day for shopping and departure After breakfast in to your hotel, we will drop you at the airport to take your onward flight as per time. If you have late flight, you will have time to do last minute shopping if you deserve. (Breakfast included)
